Guadelupe River -
This is past great!!! The river is
COLD!!! Getting in is hard, you put a foot in and want to say forget
it! But then you just turn around and flop into that innertube real fast,
scream, say a few things you really shouldn't and then you start adjusting (or
your butt goes numb, it's not like you can really tell which is
happening).....but it's something
that shouldn't be missed!
Due to having 12 yr old kids, we can't go through the rougher stuff we'd like to
(there's age limits on some of it as it can be dangerous for kids - though my
mother in law says it's dangerous for adults too! LOL), but the calmer
parts we can go through are still a blast.
We only made it down the river twice this year, the first time was a 2 1/2 hour
trip and then a couple of days later we took a 4 hour trip (thank goodness we
bought paddles for those dead spots and getting caught in the eddies!)
I really wanted to get some pictures of this, but thanks to my batteries
croaking and it being so crowded that we couldn't pull over on the road to take
pics, I wasn't able to. But here are a few from other sources.

These first 3 pictures were borrowed from RRC
Rentals - the place we put into the river at both days we went.

This one was borrowed from Lazy L
& L, the place we went to a couple of years ago.
