floyd and berry  This is BlueBerry...she's my Italian Greyhound.  I guess you can tell from the picture that my husband has claimed ownership of her!  Figures doesn't it?  I only had to beg for an IG for over a year before he caved in and before we even left the breeder's with her, he was in love.
I never realized how hard it was to find an IG in the Houston,Tx area till we started looking.  I was on the computer hunting and my dh was on the phone.  Finally after dozens of calls, he found a woman who didn't have anymore, but MIGHT know someone who did.  So we called and he had one left...a 6 month old blue female named BlueBerry......... So we immediately got in the truck and headed out to this place called
The Courtyard Kennel....a remarkably beautiful, spacious kennel, run by caring people. (We've since boarded both dogs with them and the care they recieved was unsurpassed.)  The rest is history......I fell in love...my husband fell in love and Berry is here with us...spoiled rotten and loving it!!
Berry, very simply put, is a major crack up......she's sweet, loving, into things all the time....and don't forget silly!  She's recently taken to crawling up in your face, then "slamming" her head down on your chest ifyou don't give her the attention she wants quickly enough.   She's really great at those "I'm going to be so cute you can't stand it" poses!!!

This is Sandy.....she's the newest addition to the family. Sandy is officially my daughter's dog.....even though BlueBerry has decided Sandy is now her best friend.  No one really knows much about her except that she is extremely sweet.  The vet is guessing she's around 2-21/2 years old.  Sandy came to us through my mother in law, who took her when her previous owners decided she wasn't small enough for them.
We've had her for almost 2 weeks now and she's just starting to relax and play with Berry.  Just in the last couple of days these two have started terrorizing the house!!  If they aren't running through the house playing (OMG these small dogs can make a lot of racket!!) then they are piled up somewhere asleep.
Sandy may be Berry's new best friend, but Willie isn't extrememly happy right now.  It's one of these "OMG they brought home a rat" type things.  He does his best to ignore her.  The humans of the family are getting the cold shoulder from him though...... we call his name and he turns his back on us!  LOL  Just one of the reasons I fell in love with greyhounds in the first place.....so much personality.... so much in fact, that I'm not completely convinced they are really dogs!  :-)
